How does technology further enhance the benefits of IBL?
Technology in any type of learning environment can be seen as a way to further engage the students into the learning process or as a means to deepen their level of comprehension. In the inquiry-based learning environment, technology has the same type of role. Technology is not integrated into any inquiry-based learning environment just for the sake of it. Technology is a tool for the teachers and the students to use in order to explore, investigate and discover a question or a problem that has been setup for the students to explore. Within the inquiry-based learning environment, technology can be viewed as a way for students to be able to take more ownership of their learning process as they work more independently and collaboratively with their peers.
